How to Play?
Prepare the Equipments.
Basic equipments include, the table which is 9 ft long, 5 ft wide and 30 inch high from the ground and made out of wood, smoothly layered with a fine coating and is often colored with green or blue paint.
The table is divided into two through the net that is placed at the center of the table. The net divides the table into opposing sides in which the players will be playing. The players will also be using a light weight, air-filled ball and is usually white or yellow color. Lastly, the players must have a racket to where they will hit the ball. The most important thing is, you need to have an opponent.
Wear Proper Attire.
Wearing the proper clothing also pays a lot in this kind of game. You need to wear a comfortable and loose-fitting shirt that will enhance your swiftness and agility. It is also advisable to wear rubber shoes or sneakers so that you can move freely and you can easily go to other sides of your place. Wearing short-sleeved shirts and shorts is very recommendable.
Know the Grips.
Having knowledge with the basic hand grip will lead you to a perfect hand grip that is needed during the game. Basis hand grip includes forehand and backhand stroke. It is also easy to perform all forehand and backhand strokes, the only thing is that, you need to practice more harder especially for beginners,so you can get enough strategic ability on how and when to use these grips.
Prepare to Serve:
You need to practice your first hit, which is serving. you need to have a lot of variation on serving like hitting the ball and make it land to each corner of the opponents side. You need to keep your ball and aim to different areas of the table.
Attack: Earn Points
This is the very important part of the game. You need to score and win the game. In order for you to do so, you need to earn points by hitting the ball and making it land to opponents side making sure that opponent cannot hit the ball back or do the counter attack. This stage requires precision wherein you need to very accurate on hitting the ball. You also need to be receptive so you will know the right technique and strategy in every hit of the ball. A sound judgment will also help especially when aiming the ball to the right direction to where the opponent will have a hard time doing his or her counter attack. by reading the opponent’s hitting direction, you can assume the direction or the landing spot of the ball and with that, you can so your counter attack.
There are lots of questions and misconceptions about this game. There are those who believes that this is a very difficult game.
